“And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another." Mosiah 18:21

Spotlights

Krystal Woodard

Brad and Krystal Woodard moved into the ward at the beginning of May. They both just graduated from BYU-Idaho, Krystal with a Communication degree and Brad with a Graphic Design degree. Krystal grew up just north of Detroit, Michigan and Brad grew up in a suburb of Seattle, Washington. They were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in Alpine, Utah December of 2008 and have no kids yet (unless you count their black lab puppy, Keeva).

Katie Peterson

Katie and her husband, Kai, moved from Westminster, CA and joined the FV2 ward in October, 2010.  They have been married two years and each have a child from a previous marriage.  Their son, Kailer, is 8 years old, and daughter, Jordyn Wolsleger (wol-sleigh-ger), is 4 years old.  Katie works for a Newport Beach construction company, and her dad worked in construction as well as the superintendent over the Laie, Hawaii Temple remodel.  Katie enjoys scrapbooking, organizing projects and cleaning, not that she has anytime for those.  She squeezes in time for Sudoku puzzles and some journal writing.  Katie has five older sisters and says that after five girls, her dad bore his testimony that the next would be a boy and that they would name him Benjamin.  Oops!   Katie, the intended little boy, was born in Alaska, and as the last child of six, her parents chose to birth her at home using a kit from the “Moonlight Birthing Company.”  Her father caught her in a roasting pan and years later, she learned that it was the same pan they still used for Sunday dinners.

Maria A. Villalobos

Maria recently joined the church and our ward just after her daughter, Stephanie.  Maria was born in Jalisco, Mexico to a very large family of 14 children and was raised by both of her parents. As a young mother, she immigrated to Orange County, California later having four of her six children in the U.S. (She had four girls and two boys.) After a marriage of 20 years, Maria was divorced and now lives with four of her children in Fountain Valley, California. Her nuclear family is almost completely baptized after months of much spiritual work. Maria is going to CIT College pursuing her GED, Dental Assistance degree, and taking English courses. Maria is very happy having joined the church and sees nothing but beautiful blessings after many life challenges.

Lindsay Cutrell

Lindsay and her husband, Seth, moved into the ward in November, 2009 from the Huntington Beach North Stake.  They have been married for four years and do not have any children yet.  Lindsay works for the City of  Costa Mesa as a Recreation Coordinator.  Prior to her current job, she was a flight attendant for JetBlue Airlines. Lindsay likes to hang out with her friends, travel, play the piano, cook and bake, read books and recipes, and loves to learn new things.  She would love to learn how to garden and play the violin.    Seth and Lindsay like to see musicals and have season tickets to the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.  Once during a magic show, David Copperfield made Lindsay disappear!

Tiara Domiguez

Tiara and her husband moved to FV2 from Palo Alto, CA in December of 2009.  They have been married for ten months and are expecting their first baby on January 2, 2011.  Tiara enjoys traveling, sewing, and sports outside, soccer and hiking.  She has taught middle school Language Arts, Social Studies and Technology.  She also coached 6th - 8th grade boys and girls cross country for five years.  During the summers, she has done volunteer work building houses and leading adult groups to different countries for Habitat for Humanity.  She served her mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  She has been to six of the seven continents and will hopefully visit Antarctica soon!  Tiara loves all kinds of salad, and her nickname is “Little Spook” in honor of her October 31st birthday.

Lori Hexberg

Lori and her husband “Haws” moved to FV2 from the Huntington Beach North Stake in December of 2009.  They have been married over three years and just welcomed their first baby, James, at the end of June.  They are in love with their boy!  Lori enjoys working out, walking at the beach (or anywhere outside), pilates, yoga, horseback riding, cooking, dancing and paddle boarding.  She also loves playing games.  She works part time as a pilates instructor, teaches mat and equipment classes and she trains private clients.  She loves that she can do what she loves for work and stay home with her baby.  A fun random tidbit about Lori is that she loves doing things that make her feel like she’s flying.  She has been sky diving and bungee jumping, and the next item on her list is hang gliding (if her husband will let her).  She has always believed in unicorns...not because they are trendy, and she believes they will be in the Celestial Kingdom.

Autumn Sage

Autumn and her husband, Dan, were married in July of 2010.   When she married, she had been living in Belmont Shore, and her husband in Cypress.   Autumn enjoys music, especially playing the piano and singing.  She also enjoys cooking, travel and anything to do with the outdoors - camping, hiking, bike riding, etc.  She is one of seven children, and one of her favorite trips was a cross country ski trip to Yellowstone.  Autumn’s birthday is in the summer, but she celebrates the first day of Autumn as well.  Autumn works as a dental hygienist in Seal Beach.

Jennifer Younkin

Jennifer and her husband, Bill, moved into the ward from Garden Grove, CA in January of 2010.  They have been married two years and do not have children.  Jen likes to go walking and enjoys Kayaking with her husband when the weather is nice and when they have the time.  She also likes to make cookies (and then eat them).  She works at Golden West College in the Community Services center as a Staff Aide and is also a student.  An interesting fact about Jen is that she shares a birthday with Anne Frank.
